What To Expect

Pre-Treatment

1 Week Before:

Stop exfoliants: No retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, scrubs.
Avoid sun exposure & tanning.
No facial waxing or threading.

2–3 Days Before:

Pause acne treatments (benzoyl peroxide, strong actives).
Use gentle cleanser & moisturize well.

Day of Treatment:

Clean face — no makeup, SPF, or products.
Don’t shave your face.
Inform your provider of any skin issues or medications.

⚠️ Avoid dermaplaning if you have:

Active acne, sunburn, rosacea flare, or open wounds.
Recently had a chemical peel, microneedling, or laser.
Are currently on Accutane (wait at least 6 months).

Post Treatment

To minimize irritation and protect the freshly exfoliated skin:

Avoid direct sun exposure and wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.
Skip active skincare ingredients (like retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C) for 1–3 days.
Keep skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer.
Avoid heavy makeup for 24 hours if your skin feels sensitive.
